Help Buffy Heal After a Devastating E-Bike Accident
Hi, my name is Kaitlyn, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my mom, Buffy, who was involved in a serious electric bike accident while on a family vacation in Orange Beach, Alabama, on July 22nd.
What started as a fun and relaxing trip quickly turned into a nightmare. My mom suffered a severe crash and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where we learned she had sustained:
• Two small brain bleeds
• A radial fracture in her arm
• A fractured pelvis
- Three rib fractures
Due to the severity of her injuries, she was transferred to a trauma hospital in Pensacola, Florida, where she remains hospitalized and in recovery.
On Thursday, she underwent surgery to place a pin in her pelvis to help stabilize the fracture. She has a long road ahead. Once she is cleared to return home, she will need to spend an extended period in an inpatient rehabilitation facility, relearning how to safely move and walk again.

Who Is Buffy?
Buffy is a devoted registered nurse from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with a heart for caregiving. She has spent her career taking care of others in their most vulnerable moments. Now, she finds herself on the other side—in need of care, support, and healing.
She’s also a loving mom, a strong woman of faith, and the glue that holds our family together. Seeing her in pain and unable to do the things she loves has been incredibly difficult for all of us.

How You Can Help
Buffy will be out of work for weeks to months, unable to support herself as she focuses on her recovery. She is now facing mounting medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and day-to-day living expenses—all while trying to heal both physically and emotionally from this traumatic event.
We are asking for your help, whether it’s through a donation, a prayer, or simply sharing this page. Every little bit makes a difference and brings us one step closer to helping Buffy get back on her feet.

Thank You
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support during this overwhelming time. If you know Buffy, you know how strong, compassionate, and generous she is. Now it’s our turn to be there for her.
Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she fights her way through recovery.
— With love,
Kaitlyn & Family
