Prayers & Funds for Josephine
Donation protected
Hi Friends!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read up on our fundraiser. My best friend Paige gave birth to a beautiful baby girl in October and she has been in the NICU at CHNOLA (Children's Hospital of New Orleans) ever since. As you all know hospital bills are extremely expensive and we are hoping to cushion a little bit of this by raising funds for the family. Even though raising $150,000 won't cover everything (since insurance only covers part of the cost), at least Paige and her husband won't be completely crippled by the bills. Baby Josephine will continue to be hospitalized during and after her heart surgeries. She is very fragile, extremely beautiful, and a courageous fighter. We love her and her tight little fists!!
Please see the written words of her mommy Paige:
"Josephine Victoria was diagnosed with an extra 18th chromosome at my 20 week anatomy scan. The diagnosis statistically is fatal in utero and if she were to be born her life expectancy would be short. We decided to continue the pregnancy and let our baby girl tell us how her story will go. Josephine Victoria was breeched until the day she was born October 14, 2021 around 1030pm. We are not sure of the exact time because she entered this world on her own terms space and time. She came 20 mins after being sent home from triage with "Braxton Hicks". Thankfully we made it back to the hospital 2 mins after she arrived and with a little suction and oxygen she pinked up right away. She survived! 3lbs 11oz She has a hole in her heart, a VSD and it is making it hard for her to breath and eat on her own. We have been in NICU for 76 days she is now 7lbs and ready to have heart surgery. She is fragile and has some other anomalies with her heart so she currently is not a candidate for open heart surgery just yet so she will have a pulmonary banding. They will go into her heart and add a band which will make the hole smaller. And allow for her blood to flow in the correct direction which will keep her lungs from being saturated with fluid. This will allow her to breath easier and without support. Her surgeries will be over the next coming weeks. She is not her diagnosis She is compatible with life
She is more than a conquer She is Victorious!!"
Thank you for your prayers, thoughts, and any funds you can provide. There is no amount too small. God bless you and your family.
