My name is Yemayah Senemeht McNeil and I am five years old and just graduated from kindergarten.  I have been a healthy, happy little person all of my life.  On mother's day weekend in 2018, me and my family were at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  That is when I first started to feel bad.  I told my mommy that my head was hurting and that I did not feel well.  When we returned home the next week my mommy took me to the doctor for what she thought was an ear infection.  But, it turned out to be so much more!  A CAT scan found a large brain tumor.  I was taken to Duke Children's Hospital that night and had emergency surgery the very next day.  My doctors took my tumor out and it was determined that it was a medullablastoma (cancerous tumor).  They also later identified that I had a rare type of tumor called a WNT tumor.  WNT tumors are thought to be the rarest subgroup of medulloblastoma, accounting for only 11%  of all pediatric brain tumors.  My treatment plan is 9 cycles of chemotherapy which will take about one year to complete.  I have started started my treatments.  The chemotherapy makes me feel very yucky and there are days that I just don't feel like playing.  But mommy says the chemo is getting rid of all my bad cells and that I only have to take it for a little while.  My surgery saved my life but because of where my tumor was located it affected my ability to walk and talk.  Therefore, I also must have physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy to help me recuperate.  I love going to school and I am going to miss playing with all of my friends.  But to protect me from bad germs I will be home schooled for most of my 1 grade year.

My medical bills are increasing everyday and I am a precious angle to a single mom.  By you helping to fund my medical bills you help make my long road to recovery easier by allowing my mommy to focus on helping me get better instead of worrying about paying all of my medical bills.
