It was on the third day into grade one that she had been tragically diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia. CML is a rare subtype of leukemia and ocurrs in far less children and will need to be treated aggressively. Taelyn has had a central line inserted in her chest and has begun her first round of chemo therapy with four different types of chemo for the next 30 days. After this round she will be reassed and another plan for her will be made.
Due to the sudden diagnosis, her parents are unable to work and will be spending most of their days and nights at BC Children’s Hospital. They are in need of support to be able to continue with household expenses and bills. They will also need support for when they are able to bring their precious Taelyn home. There will need to be renovations in the home to ensure it is safe for Taelyn, as she will have a compromised immune system.
The family is forever grateful for the continued prayers and positive vibes that have been sent.
Please help contribute to Taelyn and her family, anything helps and will be greatly appreciated!
