On May 30th, we learned of every parents worst fear. Our two-year-old, Pearl, has a rare tumor on her liver called Hepatoblastoma. Because of the spread of tumors to her lungs, she is considered early stage four.
To say we were shocked is an absolute understatement. How could our child, who hasn’t had so much as the sniffles in her entire life, have cancer? We thought we had done everything right by our kids, protecting them, but sometimes you can’t. We believe in the absolute power of prayer. We believe Pearl will conquer the cancer and will someday live a full and healthy life. We have already seen His faithfulness through this process.
We talked a lot before deciding to start a GoFundMe. With unexpected expenses coming through, our hesitancy must end. Her father is expected to continue working, while her mothers situation is with work is unknown.
Our plan is to dedicate any funds raised toward Pearl’s treatment. This will include medical bills, hospital toys and entertainment, meals at the hospital, ER visits, Covid tests that are needed during every stay, etc.
We are so incredibly blessed by the amount of support we’ve received. Every time someone reaches out to pray for us or tell us they are thinking of us, it means so much. Any remaining donations will go toward future education for Pearl or toward the research for Hepatoblastoma.
