Please Pray for Payton

I’m writing this with a heavy heart to ask for prayers and support for a very special girl, Payton Herr, and her incredible family.

Just days ago, what seemed like a simple flu took a terrifying turn. On Sunday, March 29th, Payton was admitted to the ICU, intubated, on a ventilator and is fighting with everything she has to survive.

If you know Payton, you know how strong, kind, and full of life she is. Seeing her in this condition is absolutely heartbreaking. Ryan and Christine have not left her side, holding her hand, talking to her, and praying for her every moment. This is every parent’s worst nightmare.

Right now, Payton’s biggest fight is clearing her lungs, and building enough strength to come off the ventilator. Even after she gets through this critical stage, she will likely have a long road ahead with ongoing care and rehabilitation.

I’m asking from the bottom of my heart:

Please pray for Payton. Pray for her strength, her healing, and for her to keep fighting. Pray for Ryan, Christine and the entire Herr family; that they feel surrounded by love and supported through this unimaginable time. Pray they continue to feel the healing hands of God on Payton.

If you are able, any donation, no matter the size, will help ease the financial burden of the ICU stay, medical care, and the rehabilitation Payton will need as she recovers.

Most importantly, please keep Payton in your thoughts and prayers. She is such a fighter, and she needs all of us behind her right now.
