Hi, we are Matthew and Nicole Lucia, and we are starting this fundraiser for our dad. Recently our dad was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell lung cancer which is absolutely devastating news. He is an extremely thoughtful person and a great father to the both of us, and an even better grandfather to his granddaughter Aubrey. It’s terrible that bad things happen to the best people. The one thing we know though is that Paul is a fighter, and he will fight these disease with everything he’s got!

Our dad is a proud member of Local 3N which is the Boston Newspaper Pressmen’s Union. He has been with the Boston Globe for almost 40 years since he was 18. Being a pressman at the Globe, and making all the lifelong friends that he’s made has been one of the most satisfying and grateful accomplishments our dad has made outside of our family.

With all this happening so fast and our heads spinning faster than we can imagine, we are starting this fundraiser to help our parents keep the lights on in our house. We are doing everything we can to help our mom navigate through this, but we are realizing that we definitely need help in this uncertain time.

Whether you can donate or not, the biggest gift you can send is a prayer for our dad. So far he has gotten a lot of prayers and a lot of people on his side as he battles through this. But please, keep praying!
