Prayers for Luis Felipe Anzola

As some of you may know, our Dad was recently diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer. As a result, these past couple of months have been a rollercoaster of emotions, lots of planning and scheduling, and absorbing as much information as possible to learn everything we can about his condition.

 

Though we're only at the beginning of this journey, it certainly hasn't been easy. Those of you who know our Dad, "Flaco", understand how big of an impact he has on our family. It seems like yesterday that he picked us up from school and surprised us with residency documents to move to the U.S. It took both of our parents 12 years of waiting to receive the government approval but just one month for Dad to leave his successful career as a forensic expert in order to allow us 4 to thrive here. It's been 22 years since we moved to the U.S., and it is only right that we use every avenue possible to give back to him for the road he's paved for us.

 

Unfortunately, he only has 20 years of total work-life contributed to his pension, which means his retirement is not enough to cover all of the incredibly expensive out-of-pocket costs for his care that insurance does not cover. While taking care of our own families, the 4 of us have managed to cover as many expenses as possible, but unfortunately, it is not enough to cover all necessary expenses for his treatment. Our goal here is to gather prayers and blessings from those who want to help offset those medical expenses.
