Prayers for Kenny Jackson
Donation protected
Monday evening, April 15, 2019, Kenny Jackson was out for a ride on his Harley on a beautiful spring night! Tragically, he was hit from behind by a drunk driver and thrown into the median on I-470 in Lee's Summit. Not only did his bike bite the dirt but Kenny sustain critical injuries. All of his tendons in his neck were severed, his left leg was broken in several places, his foot was crushed, his nose was broken and his eye socket fractured. He's pretty much a mess and in a lot of pain right now. On Tuesday morning, they performed neck survey on his spine and fused together his 5th & 6th vertebra to add support to hold his head. He will be in a neck brace for at least 8 weeks. Today, they performed a surgery on his leg to stabilize it and allow the swelling to subside. They hope to completely repair his leg in another surgery, in 10 to 14 days. Next week he will have surgery on his nose. Kenny is currently in ICU and we're seeing small improvements each day. He's in a lot of pain and it's heartbreaking to see so much damage to someone you love. The most important thing we can do for Kenny right now is pray for a FULL recovery. He has a very very long road ahead and we are so very fortunate he is with us today. Let's help our brother in this time of need and make sure he doesn't skip a beat.
By the way, this campaign has been set up by Ronnie and Stephenie Halterman. Like many of you, we have known Kenny since grade school and have remained close friends. We travel together, ride together, laugh together, and cry together. He is our brother. If you have any questions, please feel to reach out to me at [phone redacted].
Thank you all so much!
