Prayers For Jack Blum: Heart Attack Recovery Fund

Donation protected
Jack Blum has touched so many people lives and has been there for so many people whenever they need anything. If you’ve lived in the Orange County area and ever needed anything car related chances are you’ve ran into Jack Blum. Jack has always been the person who will go out of his way to take care of anyone he meets. Whether it’s making the extra phone call or driving 5 hours away to drop off/pick up something to help someone out, he’s always got your back. That’s Jack Blum. Jack is too humble to ask for help so we are setting this up for him. Now it’s our time to have Jack’s back!

On Mother’s Day this year Jack was not feeling well, he was suppose to join us for the day but was just not feeling right. The following day he went to work and decided about an hour in that he still wasn’t feeling well. When Dylan his youngest son got up that morning and went to his room Jack was still not feeling well and complaining about chest pains, he then asked Dylan if after work he could take him to the doctors. Dylan offered to take him right then but in normal Jack fashion he put everyone first and didn’t want Dylan to miss work to take him. With Dylan’s persistence he got Jack to get out of bed and get to the hospital. When they got to Placentia Linda hospital they discovered that he was having a heart attack. They made the decision there to have an ambulance rush him to St Jude. They then rushed him into surgery to put  a stint in his main artery as it had been completely blocked. After taking a closer look at his heart it was discovered that he had an heart attack Sunday and another one before that but were unsure of when, that caused permanent damage to his heart. He was then taken to the ICU where his heart rate continued to be erratic. They then had to shock him twice to attempt to maintain a steady heart rate. Though he is uncomfortable he has maintained a steady heart rate throughout  the last couple nights!

The doctor has directed that Jack not return to work for 4-8 weeks. We are trying to raise money to help Jack not only pay for the high expense of the medical bills that he will have but also to help with his expenses while he is out work. Jack has touched so many lives so we hope we can give back to him and make this recovery a bit less stressful!
