Prayers for Elias’s Fight against Leukemia

On January, 14th, 2022, on His 1st Birthday, precious Elias Ballard was diagnosed with Leukemia.
Elias is a bright eyed, wonderful, rambunctious little guy who is the youngest son of Lianna and Jonathan Ballard, and the little brother of his 2-year-old Big Brother, Ethan.

On January 17th, Elias is set to start aggressive rounds of chemo treatments.
We are Hopeful and Believing, in The Name of Jesus, that with love and support from his wonderful parents, family, friends, his team of Medical Professionals and others around him; sweet baby Elias can beat this and go on to live a happy, healthy normal life, just like any other child.
Receiving the news that your child has been diagnosed with cancer, or any other critical and debilitating illness, is absolutely heartbreaking for any parent.
To prepare for the treatments that are just beginning, plus the many other financially challenging times ahead, we, the friends of the Ballard’s, are launching a fundraiser in an effort to help cover medical expenses, as well as family living expenses. This will not only help pay the bills but even more importantly, it will allow more time for Lianna and Jonathan to focus on Elias’s recovery. Jonathan and Lianna both work jobs to make ends meet but like many young couples, there isn’t a lot left over for even normal expenses. When something like Leukemia comes along it is often financially debilitating. Insurance funds are expended quickly. Many hospitals work hard to postpone or reduce these financial disasters, as much as possible. However, continuing mortgages, utilities bills, vehicle payments, gasoline, food, and so much more, requires cash and other forms of income to continue. It is nearly impossible, without love and help from others for families to even survive.
Due to the current situation, we are asking for the support from family, friends, community or other simply compassionate people who wish to donate to help surmount these tremendous medical expenses, which Lianna and Jonathan Ballard, Elias’ parents, have already incurred and will obviously continue to incur as they fight and struggle to help Elias beat this horrible disease.
Elias is currently under the care of a tremendous team of affectionate and caring doctors and nurses at Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.
