My brother is an extraordinary person, who has lived his life in the service of others. He served in the Navy and worked for years as a police officer in Southern California. But his true love has always been flying. Ed combined his love of flying with his passion to help others and became a medical helicopter pilot. Then…everything changed. My beautiful brother was just diagnosed with stage 4 Adenocarcinoma and can no longer work. With all of the painful tests, waiting for answers, and the impending financial burden this has taken a real toll on him. Ed will be leaving for City of Hope in the next couple of weeks to start treatment. I have never seen someone fight so hard for his life.
