We are reaching out to the community for a local family that is in need of our support.

Kim and Danny are incredible members of our West Kootenay Community who are near and dear to our hearts. They brought their beautiful baby boy Declan into this world on April 21st 2023, and have been cherishing every moment since.

Kim and Danny took their son to Kelowna General Hospital for a second opinion on a lump that was growing on Declan’s leg. After imaging was done, Kim and Danny were asked to go to BC Children’s Hospital immediately for surgery and follow up.

On August 19th, these wonderful parents received results that no parent ever expects or can prepare for. Sweet Declan, just two years old, is diagnosed with cancer. This has turned their world upside down, and they are now facing an incredibly difficult journey; one that no family ever expects to take.

BC Children’s Medical staff are starting treatment right away. Declan and his parents will need to stay in Vancouver for the unforeseeable future. From medical bills and hospital stays to travel costs, time off work, and special care needs, the emotional and financial toll will be impactful.

This is where we are asking for your support and prayers for Declan. Any contribution, big or small, will go directly towards Declan’s care and help their family stay strong through this unimaginable time.
