Greetings everyone,

This is one of the hardest and most heartbreaking things I have ever had to write.

My mom is currently fighting for her life after suffering a devastating medical emergency that resulted in a severe anoxic brain injury. In a matter of moments, our entire world changed, and we are now navigating a reality that still does not feel real.

My mother has spent her entire life fighting through so much with unimaginable strength, resilience, and grace. Through chronic illnesses, kidney disease, a renal transplant, autoimmune diseases, diabetes, countless procedures, and years of physical hardship, she continued to persevere. She has always been independent, strong-willed, loving, selfless, and the foundation of our family.

Watching someone you love so deeply lying in a hospital bed, connected to machines, uncertain of what tomorrow may bring, is a pain I cannot even begin to fully describe. This experience has shattered me emotionally, mentally, and spiritually in ways I never thought possible.

As her daughter and power of attorney, I have been by her bedside around the clock advocating for her, making sure she is cared for, protected, comforted, and never alone during this critical time. I have currently been out of work for two weeks so I can remain with her and focus entirely on her care and wellbeing.

If you know me personally, then you know how difficult this is for me. I have always been extremely independent and have never been someone who feels comfortable asking others for help. Truthfully, even making this fundraiser has taken everything in me.

But the emotional, medical, legal, and financial weight of a tragedy like this is overwhelming, and while we continue praying and hoping for healing, I am also trying to prepare for the future and the unknown one day at a time.

Funds raised will help relieve some of the burden associated with:

• Medical and hospital-related expenses

• Transportation and travel costs

• Household and financial obligations

• Legal and estate-related matters

• Lost income while I remain at her bedside

• Future care needs and unforeseen expenses

• Possible memorial and end-of-life expenses, if needed

No amount of support is too small. Whether it’s a donation, a share, a prayer, or simply words of encouragement, it truly means more than I can ever express.

Please continue praying for my mom, for our family, and for strength during the most painful season of our lives.
