Prayers For Casey Walker
Deanne and Doug Walker would never want to ask for money, they are usually the ones trying to help take care of others. I know that many of us want to help but do not know how to help so I created this page so we can try to help alleviate some of this major financial burden. They have 21 children they love dearly and I know they love so many others. Insurance is only going cover some of the medical care Casey needs.
Casey was riding a motorcycle and was rear ended by a car late at night May 8th. He was not expected to live but is still with us. He was taken to the ICU in critical condition with severe brain trauma. He has been in a coma for weeks.
Casey is no longer in the ICU but has been moved to a long term care hospital and will be there for months. The current plan for Casey's 24/7 hospital stays will likely be many months before they can start doing out-patient therapy.
This would all be difficult enough, as many of you who have been through this type of recovery of a loved one know, but now they have the added logistics of mom or dad being with Casey everyday for an unknown number of months while trying to maintain a stable home life for the other kids at home in Missouri. Deanne drove home to Missouri with the kids and now they will take turns flying back and forth to alternate each parent at home and with Casey every week or two.
With their personal situation and logistics, there will be a lot of expenses that medical insurance won't cover. They are just trying to maximize the time with Casey and minimize expenses. They know the Lord has a plan and they'll make it through, but wow!
Any small amount will help cover expenses outside of insurance coverage and also any medical expenses that may not be covered by insurance.
All donations will go to Deanne and Doug Walker.
