I'm reaching out for two reasons: 1) To let those of you who know us know what's happening and 2) to ask for any and all prayers and support.

Being private people we have not shared our story outside of immediate family and friends, asking only for prayers.

My husband Bob, a 40+ year rider and retired over the road professional truck driver, was involved in a life altering motorcycle accident on Aug 2. He broke his back, all but 2 ribs, and sustained a traumatic head injury. He was on a ventilator for 14 days, had a brain bleed, back surgery, and tubes placed in his chest for internal bleeding. We weren't sure where all this was going! Praise Jesus, we worked past the scariest part!

Since then, he's had to have additional surgery to address infections in both his head and back. Still hospitalized in the trauma unit, he's finally, after 3 long weeks, talking! And if you know Bob, he LOVES to talk, lol.

While still recovering from the head trauma, he is struggling with bouts of confusion and short term memory challenges.

I have been with him 10-12 hours a day every day, and not been able to return to teaching yet this year in order to provide additional support to his phenomenal nursing staff.

The goal now is getting him into rehab to address his balance and strength to get him home!

I am definitely going to need some help to bring him home safely.

Bob's going to need additional home supports as I am being told the confusion will last quite some time and he won't be completely steady on his feet upon his return. It won't be safe to leave him alone for a while and will need assistance during the day as I need to return to work. Any donation is appreciated! Can you please help?

We are just so grateful for all the prayers and support we as a family have received! We are still on this journey and gladly accepting (please!) prayers for full restoration!
