UPDATE 9/22/21: After 61 days inpatient, Avaya was released from Gillette’s Children’s Hospital. Avaya has a TBI, seizures, and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Avaya was also discharged with a feeding tube. Miss Avaya will need lots of therapy and eventually need home rehab equipment to help with her progress and ultimate goal of living life as close to a normal little girl as possible. All funds collected will be managed by myself (Grandma) and used specifically to benefit this beautiful little girl! ❤️❤️Monday, July 12th, Avaya Rose Nelson, suddenly became lethargic and unresponsive. She was transported to the local Emergency Room and then was flown to Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis. Avaya is currently sedated and resting. The next 24-72 hours will be extremely critical. Once she is medically stable she will have an MRI to check her brain activity and hopefully give the medical team and the family some answers as to what may be going on. We will meet with the neuro team in a few hours. As you can imagine, this is a very traumatic time and we could use all the prayers possible. If you are able to donate a little to help alleviate some of the medical costs, as well as transportation, food, and lodging costs for Avaya’s mom, Holly Nelson and family, we would be forever indebted. If you are unable to donate, please pray and share this page. Every little bit helps! Much love, Tammy Miller (Avaya’s grandma).
