Barely 20 years old, having just moved in to her first apartment, working full time with her whole life ahead of her, this is NOT how Aurora and her family envisioned Sept 10, 2025 would turn out. What began as a typical week, quickly progressed to the unimaginable. Routine bloodwork showed “abnormalities” which resulted in a quick repeat of bloodwork, followed by a terrifying phone call, “you need to go to Vancouver, we need to do further testing to rule out Leukemia”. 48 hours of later, after travel, multiple tests, and a hospital admission, their worst fears have been confirmed. Aurora has been diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) and will begin treatment within the next couple of days. Her entire world has been flipped upside down and on behalf of Aurora and her family, we’re asking that you please consider donating and sharing this page. Aurora will need to stay in Vancouver for the forseable future and although chemotherapy treatments are publicly funded, there will be many out of pocket costs for her and her family such as transportation, lost income, medications, daily living expenses as well as accommodations for family/support people, while she is undergoing intensive treatment.
