3/8/2026 Update (Day 118)

Tanner’s bone flap should arrive at Shepherd Center this week. Surgery will be scheduled and Tan will spend a few days in ICU before returning to his therapy sessions. Please cover Tanner, Erica, their families and all of the staff who will have a part in his surgery, care & recovery in prayer. Erica has been a huge part of all of his PT, OT, SLP, and recreational therapy sessions to learn how to best support his needs and his recovery. Tanner is now making noises to communicate with his family, eating well, and gaining strength daily. He has been doing sit and stands, the locomat, zero gravity, and the arm/leg bicycle. His right leg is waking up and bending at times, and his toes are now responding when his leg or foot is touched. Please pray for him to begin speaking, for his right arm, wrist and fingers to regain movement and strength. This journey is extensive and long, and the family will need as much support as possible to reach healing. We want to thank everyone for their love, prayers, and donations of time and money that have allowed the family to focus on Tanner’s healing. May God richly bless each of you!

12/31/25 Update (Day 51)

Erica is awaiting approval for Tanner to be transferred to Shepherd Center in Georgia for extensive rehabilitation. She is with him full time (while still caring for their 5 month old little girl) at the long term acute care hospital he has been in since transferring from UT on 12-9-25. This sweet little family needs as much help as possible. Tanner was helped out of the bed and stood with assistance for the very first time yesterday! He is awaiting a swallow test which will allow him to transition to food instead of a feeding tube. We are still praying to hear his voice. Please find it in your heart to help them get to Shepherd Center so he can regain mobility and overcome his brain injuries to take care of his little family.

Tanner is currently in the ICU after being ejected from his vehicle to avoid a car that pulled out in front of him. He is on a vent with multiple skull fractures on the day his beautiful baby girl turned 4 months old. Erica, his wife, is currently sitting by his bedside awaiting her husband to awake. The next 72 hours are critical. This sweet family needs all the love, support, and most of all prayers you could send their way. We are holding true that he will be brought back to his wife and baby girl, but until then they desperately need help. When he wakes, recovery will be extensive. Please find it in your heart to help this precious family who just began a life together.
