In December of 2025, my mom was rushed to the hospital for breathing problems. We had no idea then that the past four months would be a whirlwind of hospitalization, diagnoses, and a complete change of my mom's health, routine, and life. My mom was diagnosed with a rare form of pneumonia (Cryptogenic Organizing Pneuomonia) and is also in need of heart surgery. We are all doing what we can to make sure she gets more stable for surgery; however, the rare form of pneumonia and other diagnoses have caused a lot of strain, pain, fatigue, brain fog, and other issues. My mom went from enjoying her life, cooking, spending time with her family and grandchildren, to now being unable to move around and is now fighting for her strength. While she has been in and out of the hospital, her care requires a home nurse and more frequent doctor visits and financial assistance. She is in need of further care such as a home bed that assists with mobility and other medical equipment. We have been trying to keep up with her care and treatment; however, we are asking for those who feel called to donate and help us continue to properly care for Rebeca to please do so. We believe in the power of prayer and are so thankful and blessed to those who have reached out, and continue to ask you all to please keep Rebeca in your continued prayers and thoughts.
