“Help Us Give Our Mother a Dignified Farewell”

On February 2, 2026, our mother’s life changed forever. She suffered a stroke and multiple blood clots affecting her brain, heart, arms, and legs. Despite facing incredible odds, she fought hard and showed remarkable strength, overcoming many challenges throughout her hospitalization.

After months of treatment, she was recently transferred to a nursing facility to begin rehabilitation. Sadly, shortly after her transfer, our family became concerned that she may not have been receiving the level of care she needed. We believe these circumstances may have contributed to a medical emergency that resulted in cardiac arrest.

We are heartbroken to share that our beloved mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother, [Santressa Smith ], passed away on June 18, 2026. She was a devoted mother, a loving wife, and a pillar of strength in our community. As a dedicated churchgoer and teacher, she shaped the lives of her children and so many others. Now, we are seeking to raise $10,000 to ensure we can give her a proper and dignified farewell.
