When she was just five weeks old, we found ourselves in the back of an ambulance on the way to the hospital. Opal began having severe seizures that caused her to stop breathing. We learned that she was born with several brain abnormalities. Opal Sky is now almost five months old and, as you can see from the pictures, is as sweet as can be. She now has two epilepsy diagnoses and has experienced significant developmental decline. Our once smiling, cooing, interactive baby now struggles to make eye contact and latch to eat. Due to the severity of her situation, we are pursuing additional forms of treatment which are not covered by insurance.

The Lord directed us toward Neuro-Solution through various providences. They specialize in pediatric brain injuries using cutting-edge technologies and research in the field of photobiomodulation (laser and light therapies). Opal will begin two weeks of treatment/therapy beginning September 1st. The estimated total cost is $37,000.

"Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, 'O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. Though this is a fundraiser, the biggest need we have is prayer. (James 5:16) We ask you to pray with us as Opal needs something to work on these seizures; she needs the Lord's healing. We will be spending time in prayer and fasting during the weeks of her treatment, trusting that the Lord has led us there to use it. We trust our God to deliver Opal from these seizures. However, if He does not, He is still good, and we will still trust Him.
