Those who know Lysa know without a doubt that she is a deeply generous, faith-filled woman who has spent her life caring for others and quietly showing up whenever someone is in need. At 59, she is on the brink of becoming a grandmother for the first time, yet she is also courageously facing a serious medical journey. Through every step, Lysa’s steady trust in Jesus and His loving care has been her anchor and source of peace.
Recent scans revealed that aneurysms treated years ago are now failing and allowing blood flow to return, while another newly discovered aneurysm also requires repair. (The fact that this was discovered BEFORE rupture is nothing short of miraculous!). Doctors have recommended open brain surgery to permanently clip three aneurysms and prevent a life-threatening rupture. She is currently living with this risk while awaiting surgery to be scheduled within the next month.
This procedure will require a long recovery and several months away from work, creating significant financial strain from medical bills, living expenses, and ongoing care.
If you feel led, we would be deeply grateful for your support—both financially and in prayer. Lysa and her family do not take the gift of prayer lightly and would truly covet your prayers over every detail of this journey: for the surgeons, the upcoming surgery date, her recovery, her peace, and the joyful days ahead as she prepares to welcome her first grandchild. Every gift and every prayer helps lift the burden so she can focus on healing. GOD IS FAITHFUL!! And we are confident that this will be a testament to that in SO MANY ways!
