I’m setting this up for my daughter Kylie. In November 2025, she had a CT of her chest and a mass was found in her chest, near her heart & near/against vital blood vessels. After months of blood work, tests, & appointments it has come down to surgery time. Her surgery is scheduled for March 20, 2026 at Geisinger in Danville where the plan is to (hopefully) remove this mass in its entirety without disrupting it’s cells. It is in a tricky area in the chest & there is also an important nerve that this mass is either on top of or the nerve runs through it (hopefully not). The hope is that this mass can be removed without sacrificing this nerve, but the surgeon won’t know until he’s in there. This nerve is responsible for the right side of her diaphragm, which controls breathing with the right lung. From the PET scan, this mass did light up on the exterior…but they are unsure of what it is yet & will not know until it’s removed & can have pathology test it.

Kylie is a single parent to 9 amazing kiddos who range from 1 year old to 22 years old! There is nothing more that Kylie loves than being a mom! This has been a stressful time in all of our lives with the unknown & worry of this situation. Kylie has been a nurse for over 10 years & has spent her life caring for others.
