On Saturday, March 21st, my dad, John Walker, suffered a severe accident while working. He fell approximately 10 feet and broke his spine in two places, resulting in a serious injury. He was life-flighted to UC hospital and has remained there since Saturday morning.
He has already undergone one major spinal surgery, with a second surgery scheduled for Thursday, March 26th. Despite the intense pain and uncertainty, he has continued to lean on the Lord Jesus Christ every step of the way, trusting Him through it all.
Following his surgeries, John will remain in the hospital for a few days before being transferred to an acute rehab facility, where he is expected to stay for 10–14 days. His full recovery is estimated to take anywhere from 6 to 12 months.
John owns and operates a concrete business and was also in the process of building their dream farm to host farmers markets, and this injury will prevent him from working to full extent for several months—possibly the rest of the year—while he is also trying to support his family and the employees who depend on him.
We are asking for financial support to help cover the overwhelming medical expenses and to ease the burdens on our family during this difficult time. More than anything, we ask for your prayers—for healing, strength, and peace.
Thank you for your support, and for trusting the Lord with us through this difficult time.
