My name is Dana. I'm doing this GoFundMe for Jeremy, my ex-brother-in-law, still like a brother to me. He has been in ICU for about a week now. He originally came to the hospital for extremely bad headaches and vision loss. Then we also noticed he was having a lot of confusion, and the doctors said he was having seizures every 10 minutes. His blood pressure was elevated due to the pain, I'm sure. He's had CT scans and MRIs, and also a lumbar puncture. While they did see a lesion on the brain, we won't know the exact diagnosis until the results come back from the lumbar puncture. He is Type 2 diabetic, so he already had some things against him when he got here. He wasn't getting enough oxygen, so they had to put a breathing tube in and heavily sedate him because of the seizures, which then dropped his blood pressure too low. Then they found that his kidneys weren't working properly, and he developed pneumonia in one of his lungs and a blood clot in the other. It seems he can't get a break.

His blood sugars and blood pressure are now normal. Kidneys are better, and lungs are getting better. Now we just wait for results so they can diagnose him. Hopefully, they can start weaning him off the sedation and see if he can breathe okay without the breathing machine.

This has been so hard watching him go through this and seeing his mom and kids cry.

He has already missed two weeks of work, and we're not sure how much more he will miss. This is going to be a long road to recovery. Anything you can give is so appreciated. If you aren't able to give, please just keep the prayers coming!
