On February 24, our family’s lives changed in an instant. My 28-year-old nephew, Irving, was working at the Boost Mobile store in Union City when a masked gunman entered during a robbery and opened fire. Irving was shot in the stomach, causing severe damage to multiple organs.

Irving has already undergone multiple surgeries. Although doctors were initially hopeful about his recovery, recent complications have placed him in the ICU at Grady Hospital, where he is currently in delicate condition and fighting for his life.

Irving is a loving father and a hardworking young man who has always stayed out of trouble. He is very family-oriented and focuses on working and providing for his loved ones. He enjoys spending time with his family and playing dominoes, and anyone who knows him knows he has a big heart and always puts his family first. He has a bright future ahead of him, and we are all praying that he overcomes this tragedy.

During this difficult time, his mother and close family members have remained by his side at the hospital, which has made it impossible for them to work. The financial burden of travel, daily living expenses, and time away from work has become overwhelming.

We are asking for support from our community to help ease some of these costs so the family can focus on what matters most—Irving’s recovery.
