Last night, we had a terrible accident... My boyfriend's brother was involved in a hit and run accident. His name is Chance; he's 19 years old and autistic. He had just left our place from hanging out and was walking across a main road using the crosswalk. The light had turned red, and he proceeded to walk. He got halfway through the right side of the road, and someone ran the red light and hit him going about 40-45 miles an hour. He was brought to Fremont Hospital, stabilized, and then life-flighted to UNMC. He has severe head trauma and possible spine trauma. He got out of surgery early this morning to remove a piece of his skull to reduce swelling and to stop the brain bleed. He's stable, but we still don't know if he's going to pull through, but we are praying he does; he's a tough cookie. We would appreciate any help we can get for possible medical bills and for recovery. We can't begin to describe how grateful we are for everyone's support and prayers for Chance.
