Prayers and Support for Carla and Austin

Hi! My name is Emily May. I started this go fund me for my dear friend, Carla Harris-Morgan. Carla’s oldest son, Austin, was tragically involved in a horrific auto accident on the night of September 8, 2024. When paramedics arrived, he was unresponsive and had to be intubated. Fast forward to the hospital, and doctors are telling Carla that while Austin doesn’t have any broken bones or internal bleeding, he has a very severe brain injury, including 2 brain bleeds and many other smaller hemorrhages. While Austin is occasionally squeezing their hand, he still hasn’t woken up and doctors are saying they don’t know when or even if he will. Sadly, they are saying that the brain damage is irreversible and that they only believe 1 of 2 things will happen, that 1. Austin will never wake up and Carla will have to make the impossible decision to take him off the ventilator or 2. Austin will eventually wake up, but his mind won’t be the same and he will not have use of his left side. We are of course asking for all the prayers you can possibly give for a miracle for Austin, but also since this has put such a financial strain on Carla being out of work and using up her savings going from Spartanburg, SC to Wilmington, NC, plus all of the medical bills Austin is accumulating, if you feel led to help, even if it’s just $1, I know Carla would appreciate it so much! No one should ever have to go through such a heartbreaking hardship, and if we can help make this just a little easier for her, that’s what I want to do.
