My name is Caitlyn Everage. I am a 28-year-old stay-at-home mother of two, and a mama to an angel baby. Our family is currently facing one of the most difficult journeys of our lives.
During this pregnancy, I have been diagnosed with both placenta previa and placenta accreta. Each of these conditions alone is serious, but together they are extremely dangerous and life-threatening. At just 24 weeks, I began leaking fluid and experiencing bleeding. Since then, I have been hospitalized multiple times due to the high risk of hemorrhaging.
I am doing everything in my power to keep our baby safe and in the womb as long as possible, but my body has started forming blood clots, adding even more complications. I have now been admitted to UK Hospital for the remainder of my pregnancy, where I will stay under close monitoring.
This has been incredibly hard on our family. I am away from my husband, our children, and the rest of our loved ones. My husband is working as much as he can while also caring for our children and traveling to see me on weekends. We are doing our best to stay strong, but the emotional and financial strain is overwhelming.
Our goal is to safely reach 34 weeks. After delivery, I will undergo a major 3–4 hour surgery to remove the placenta, which has grown into my uterine wall and bladder, followed by a complete hysterectomy.
Asking for help is not easy for me, but there is nothing I wouldn’t do for my husband and children. We understand that times are hard for everyone, but if you feel led to donate, we would be deeply grateful for any support. If you are unable to give, we truly ask for your prayers.
Please pray that my body stops fighting against this pregnancy, that our baby continues to grow strong, and that we both make it through delivery safely with a smooth recovery—so we can return home where we belong, together as a family.
Thank you so much for your love, support, and prayers.
With gratitude,
The Everage Family
