Our family is asking for prayers and support for our sweet baby girl, Vallia.

Vallia was born on January 23, 2026, with a brain tumor. Since then, she has already gone through brain surgery to remove the tumor, and we recently received the heartbreaking news that it is an Embryonal Tumor, which is an aggressive, fast-growing tumor.

Right now, the doctors are unable to begin treatment until Vallia has recovered more from surgery, regained her strength, and is eating well enough to handle what comes next. The current hope is to begin chemotherapy and/or radiation sometime between mid to late July.

Because Vallia’s immune system and health are so fragile, her exposure to illness must be extremely limited, so we unfortunately cannot have visits or be out in public much at this time.

As you can imagine, this has placed a tremendous emotional and financial burden on Chara and Johnathan as they travel back and forth to Omaha for appointments, medical care, and treatments—while also facing missed work, gas expenses, food costs, and mounting medical bills.
