Prayers and Support for Baby Micah's Health
Donation protected
On behalf of the Pellman family: Newborn baby Micah was admitted to NICU on Monday, there are lots of questions right now and not a lot of solid answers. No official diagnosis at this time. It will be some time before we have any test results.
Above all, the family is asking for lots of prayers for Micah's health and improvement, as well as peace and understanding for Maria & Lance. If you are able and feel inclined, relieving financial burden from the family will be such a great help. God bless!
Update: Micah was born on December 5 weighing 7 pounds and 21 inches long. In the first few days he had a few obstacles with his feeding and jaundice. After his eating was better he was able to go home.
On Monday he was back to the clinic for a checkup when they realized his temperature dropped suddenly It was a miracle that Maria, Lance, and Micah were with medical professionals due to his illness coming on so suddenly.
Once hospitalized they ran many tests. He had episodes where he was not breathing. His blood work looked good which was good news. Due to his breathing difficulties, he was intubated and still is currently.
Over the last few days, he has had many other scans and tests, checking for genetic conditions and underlying illnesses. His body and brain are not communicating great at this time.
Miracles for Micah
His body has perked up since being here and has been moving more.
He is now being fed breastmilk through his feeding tubes and digesting it well.
Maria and Lance were able to hold him which is a blessing.
The medical professionals have been very thorough. They've been supporting and praying for him every step of the way.
We are thankful for everyone who has been praying for him and sending encouraging thoughts his way. Please keep him in your prayers and please feel free to stay updated on here. We're happy to share his story.
A GoFund Me page will be set up for anyone who would like to contribute in that way.
There are still many unknowns. Doctors have prepared us that whatever diagnosis he has, there is likely no cure. Micah is in need of more miracles and we welcome prayer warriors to stand beside us as we walk this road together.
