Hey friends,
What started as a meal train has turned into a prayer chain and raising money for my sister and brother-in-law through Lennox’s fight.
Lennox was born May 22nd by emergent C-section due to a prolapsed umbilical cord and survived a 3-minute time span to get him out. He is their miracle baby! Just 2 days later, things quickly turned into the unimaginable as symptoms led to the belief of a volvulus with transportation to NICU, then to the children’s hospital for emergent exploratory surgery. A hole in his abdominal wall was found that his intestines had fallen into, creating the blockage. Lennox is stable right now, and his little body is fighting hard while still being intubated. What’s to come is unknown, and they are on a day-to-day basis with his journey. My brother-in-law and sister are remaining strong and faithful in God’s plan for his little life. In my sister’s words, “Our God is able, and I know he did not save me and Lenny 2 days ago for us to lose him now. He is a fighter.”
Most importantly, we ask for your prayers. Prayers for complete healing over Lennox’s little body. Prayers for strength for my sister and brother-in-law during this journey. Barret & Caitlin are the most genuine, selfless people you’ll ever meet and would give the shirt off their back to anyone who needed it. Although I feel helpless in many circumstances, I’m trying my best to work behind the scenes and take away some of the financial burden that’s to come for them. One less thing they’ll have to think about or worry about during this time. Caitlin has 6 weeks off for maternity leave, and Barret has 1 week off. Their other 3 children are with me and Mom as we’re navigating these emotions and outside life for them. We’re so thankful for all of the love and support they have received thus far, but their journey isn’t over yet. If you feel nudged to give, I know they greatly appreciate it, but overall we just ask for your prayers for Lennox and our family during this difficult time.
