Our 12-month-old daughter, Emili, has been going through a very scary medical situation this past week. What started as fevers and a cough quickly became much more serious.

After multiple doctor visits, we were told to take her to the ER when she wasn't improving. There, doctors found her oxygen levels were low. She was admitted to Zeeland Community Hospital and placed on oxygen.

When she didn't get better, she was transferred by ambulance to Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, where she is still receiving care.

Emili has been diagnosed with two viruses and is currently in hypoxemic respiratory failure, meaning she cannot maintain her oxygen levels on her own. She still depends on oxygen, and attempts to remove it cause her levels to drop quickly.

This has been incredibly overwhelming for our family. We are staying by her side, praying for her recovery.

We are asking for help with upcoming medical bills and travel expenses between Grand Rapids and Holland. Any support means so much to us.

Nuestra hija de 12 meses, Emili, está pasando por una situación médica muy difícil. Lo que comenzó como fiebre y tos rápidamente se volvió algo más grave.

Después de varias visitas al doctor, la llevamos a emergencias donde descubrieron que sus niveles de oxígeno estaban muy bajos. Fue admitida en Zeeland Community Hospital y luego trasladada en ambulancia a Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, donde continúa recibiendo atención.
