Hello friends & family, as many of you may already know, we were originally expecting baby Avery on January 21, 2025, but now it will be sooner than we thought. Danielle was diagnosed with Velamentous cord insertion at 18 weeks.
Velamentous cord insertion is a complication of pregnancy where the umbilical cord is inserted in the fetal membranes. This condition results in a lack of nutrients and blood flow to the fetus, causing high-risk complications. As a result, she is now seeing a high-risk specialist weekly to monitor blood flow and oxygenation to baby Avery as well as her growth.
Baby Avery is currently only weighing 1lb 5oz. Due to the lack of nutrients and blood flow, we are hoping to make it to Thanksgiving before having to do an emergency C-section at 32 weeks. Danielle is currently only 26 weeks pregnant and has already been hospitalized once due to complications. We are now being told to prepare to be hospitalized at any point in hopes to keep baby Avery inside until 32 weeks as the blood flow and nutrients are decreasing.
Baby Avery will need to be in the NICU after she is born for quite some time to ensure all of her vital organs continue to grow and she gets the nutrients she needs. As we continue to pray for baby Avery, Danielle, and Scott, we ask that our friends and family pray as well.
Due to high-risk complications, medical bills, and the unforeseen future, we are asking for donations to help them in this troubled time. We had to cancel the baby shower as we are planning for hospitalization any day now. We understand these are trying times for everyone, but anything is helpful and gratefully appreciated. We will do our best to keep everyone updated as we find out more information. Please continue to keep the Galloway family in your prayers in the meantime.
Thank you all ♥️
