My best friends son is fighting for his life, we are in need of prayers and support for his mother, Megan Hagen at this time. Sweet baby Andrew was born at 5am on July 23rd not breathing, unresponsive with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck resulting in hypoxic ischemia encephalopathy. He has been undergoing several EEGs and further testing to determine the severity of the damage but no progress has been made. Last night, he was airlifted to Little Rock, Arkansas to receive further treatment. Still recovering from a c-section, Megan was discharged early from the birthing hospital and sent to Little Rock with little information or communication as to her sons status. They are not accepting applications for the Ronald McDonald House for Megan to stay and the cost for staying in a hotel is financially taxing. Megan is the sole provider caring for this child and will be out of work for months caring for Andrew going forward. We ask for your prayers and support through this difficult time for Megan and baby Andrew.
Lord, hear our prayers and lift Megan up as she endures this unimaginable time. Heal Andrew's brain, his mother's heart and give these doctors the strength to cure him. For you are our Lord and savior, heal this precious child you have sent from the Heavens. In Jesus name. Amen.
