Prayers and Support for Aaron's Recovery

Donation protected
In August 2023, Aaron had a series of falls that left him with serious spinal injuries. With no guarantee that surgery would be successful, Aaron held on to his faith and reassured everyone around him that “God has got this.” The surgery was a success in the sense that he was able to move his leg and the danger of neurogenic bladder that often happens with thoracic spine injury had been avoided. Aaron completed physical therapy and regained the ability to use the right leg for walking; however, he has endured frequent nerve shocks in both legs since and has been unable to return to work.

In the past several months, symptoms from the spinal fractures have returned. After tests and his neurosurgeon’s prognosis that another surgery would likely exacerbate the condition, Aaron has consulted neurosurgeons at Vanderbilt. Now, Aaron faces a second major surgery in July — a spinal fusion from T7-L3 that will help save his mobility. But this also means long travel to Vanderbilt, high medical bills, and a long recovery.

Thank you for taking time to consider helping Aaron with a monetary donation, but the family also desires the prayers of family and friends. Pray that God will guide the hands of the surgical team and touch Aaron’s body during surgery and the weeks following as he recovers. Pray that this young man’s quality of life may return, and whatever the outcome, pray for Aaron and the family to accept God’s will in this season of life.
