From Susan:
On Thursday, Aaron started wheezing and breathing in a scary way so we took him to the doctor and they said he might have been making it up a bit or that he probably had allergies. Since moving here every doctor has told us Aaron has awful allergies. Saturday he placed fourth place in a mountain biking race! Sunday he went downhill quick so we took him to urgent care and they said he was totally fine. And then it just kept getting worse and so we took him to the hospital Sunday evening. The first doctor said he was probably making it up and then the second doctor was really concerned and ordered a CT scan, and that's when we found the large mass on his chest blocking his airways. He has to be intubated or he cannot breathe, so he is just sleeping for days to come. He does have cancer. The biopsy will be back within 72 hours to see how bad it is But it is not good We ache and hurt but pray our hope will be in Jesus and that He will sustain us and heal our boy according to His will We earnestly ask for your prayers and Kaitlyn will be updating this page. God is in every detail! He brought us to Texas to have the best team of doctors
From Kaitlyn: Right now, all I can ask for is prayer and, if you feel led, financial support as doctors continue to answer questions and as Brian and Susan are able to share more.
Specific prayers right now would be:
comfort for Aaron as he is intubated
peace and wisdom for Brian and Susan
peace and comfort for Abby and Asher
I’ll share more updates here as soon as Brian and Susan are ready.
