On the evening of September 2nd, during a walk while their children were attending church youth group, Aaron Walenga and his wife Clare were struck by lightning. They are currently in the hospital receiving medical care.

We are trusting in the Lord and holding firmly to His promises. We know that God can do exceedingly more than we could ask or imagine.

We are asking everyone to please pray. Please pray for healing and strength for both of them, their children, and family. Please also pray for their doctors and medical teams.

We also want to provide an opportunity for those who feel led to help financially. This is going to be a long road for their family and will result in medical costs and other needs. If you are able, donations can be made through their GoFundMe.

Both Aaron and Clare have given so much to their community through their service as a teacher, coach, and school staff. They have had such a positive impact on the students they serve and all those around them.
