Update:️ My tio Pablo passed peacefully last night. Our hearts are completely broken. We find comfort knowing he is with our Lord now. I keep picturing my tío Pablo sitting on a beach, looking out at the waves, watching over all of us and taking care of us from above. Thank you to everyone who has checked in, prayed, shared, or helped in any way. Your love has carried our family through these times. I love you Tio Pablo rest easy  

Update: Today, the doctors told our family that there are no further medical options available for Pablo. He is currently being sustained by life support, and we have been asked to begin preparing for funeral arrangements as he will be allowed to pass peacefully. This news was completely unexpected, and it has been incredibly difficult for all of us to process. We continue to ask for prayers for Pablo, his wife Leah, and our entire family as we walk through this. If anyone feels led to help with funeral costs, any support would be deeply appreciated and can be given through this GoFundMe or directly to our family. We are sharing this with heavy hearts and a lot of love. Right now, Pablo is facing a very severe and unexpected medical situation. After another CT scan, the doctors told us that part of his brain has permanent damage and will not recover. Along with everything else going on, the odds are not in our favor. This has been devastating to hear. Even so, our faith is strong. We believe God is with Pablo and with our family every step of the way. We trust that God will help my tío and all of us through this, and that he knows what’s best for Pablo. If you know Pablo, you know he is truly one in a million. He is bright, intelligent, and adventurous, with a deep love for the ocean and for spending time at the beach with his family. Being near the water has always brought him peace and joy, reflecting the way he lives his life curious, and fearless. My tío Pablo has the biggest, brightest eyes and the most beautiful heart. To me, he has always been an incredible uncle always encouraging his nieces and nephews, playing basketball with us when he could, and supporting us in the ways he knew best. Pablo is deeply devoted to his blue-eyed, beautiful wife, Leah, and has a huge heart for their fur babies. He is our very own “super cool spy guy.” Always super private, and mysterious about his computer work, and we joke that he must work undercover for some top-secret organization. That’s just who he is.

This situation is not how any of us would have ever imagined him.

We are holding on to faith.

Pablo has touched so many lives with his love, kindness, and joy, and we know that his spirit will continue to inspire us no matter what comes next. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers, and thank you for holding our family in yours during this difficult time.
