Prayers and pick-me-ups for Rich

The "C" word changes the lives of those who have it, as well as affecting the lives of those who have loved ones with it.

Rich started having breathing problems earlier this summer. After numerous doctors visits and a trip to the ER at the beginning of October, what was thought at one time to be Emphysema, turned out to be a metastatic tumor growing in his lung. The tumor was pushing on a major artery in the heart causing increased breathing issues. After more biopsies and scans, it has been determined that Rich will be treated for Melanoma that has metastasized in the lung and lymph nodes.

With treatment starting soon, Rich has had to forfeit a teaching opportunity for a leadership course at National Jewish Fellowship of the Assemblies of God . In addition, Vana has had to take a step back from caring for Ann (Rich's 94 year-old mother) to attend to Rich's care. As many know, these two are the most positive and faith-driven people you will ever meet. They know that God is with them thru this 'journey'. Just as they have prayed for each person reading this now, it is our turn to show them our gratitude, faithfulness and more of God's love. While they would never ask a thing from anyone, they could use some help (in addition to the many prayers already received) during these next few months of treatment, doctors bills and living expenses.

Your generosity would make a WORLD of difference to them and would alleviate the added stress that comes during this difficult time. We do not plan to share this page or the donations with them until Christmas - let's make this a Christmas they will NEVER forget.

To conclude, this passage from Luke 6:19: And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.
