Prayers and Love for Robin

Mom and dad went to FL to help with the kids and moral support for my sister and her family. Zack was deployed to Kuwait in August and kids were getting ready to start school.

On Saturday, September 1st, mom and Dinks were swimming in the pool. They had been playing and relaxing, like they have done many times before. Dinks went in the house for Kori (my sister) to change her swimsuit. When they came back outside they found mom floating in the pool. They called for my dad and nephew, who quickly came and got her over to the first step of the pool. Kori and my 16 year old nephew, Kaleb, began CPR immediately. The paramedics were called and arrived within a few minutes. The paramedics were then able to take over the CPR, shock her, and try to get her pulse back. My sister and family went into the house to speak with the paramedics. While talking, my family excused themselves for a moment and began to pray. Straight away the other paramedic came in and said they had a pulse. Praise God.  From there she went to the ER and they put her in the ICU in a medical induced coma. It cools the body to help lower and possibly prevent any further brain damage she may have suffered. This process also allows her body to heal and keep all her vital organs functioning.

During this time, Jeff (my brother), Bradley (my nephew) and myself were able to get a flight that night from Peoria to Panama City Beach, FL. Thankfully it was the last flight of the summer for Allegiant Airlines to Panama City Beach, FL. Divine intervention, a helpful airline staff, and quick thinking sister-in-law allowed all this to work out for us.

Once in FL we met up with everyone and began the spiritual battle at the hospital. We have many people praying and we serve an almighty God. He has helped us when we were weak, he has given us strength, provided wisdom on decisions, and given us peace when we needed it too. We are very blessed and appreciate all He has, can, and will do for us.

We will be posting more details and stories along the way, but just wanted to give you some background as to why we set this page up for her. We ask that if the Lord lays it on your heart to help with her medical bills, and expenses, please feel free to donate here. I know many have asked and I just didn’t know what was needed at that point. We now know we have to pay her portion of the hospital bill. Again we thank you for any and all donations. This is not to pressure you in any way, just for those who wanted to help out.
