Hello, My name is Curtis Cowell. My oldest son, Dylan, has been fighting for his life since May 1st. He was found unresponsive, suffered a stroke and is currently in ICU at Berkshire Medical Center. We do not know what the future holds for his recovery. He’s going to need long term medical care in a rehabilitation center, and we are uncertain whether he will ever be able to walk or talk again. He recently had a procedure for a tracheotomy and a feeding tube placed. We are praying every day that Dylan becomes stronger and starts to come back to us. It’s so hard to see your child go through something like this and there Isn’t much you can do for him other than wait to see how his recovery turns out. My family and I are trying to maintain our everyday lives, while being at Dylan’s side as much as we can. While trying to do all of this, my youngest son and daughter continue to have infusions at Mass General Hospital and Baystate Hospital, and I am also trying to keep the North Adams Babe Ruth League up and running. We are also trying to extend Dylan’s medical insurance and the medical bills have started to arrive already.
