On Thursday, December 4th, Mason Ward was involved in a rollover car accident near North Platte, Nebraska. He was transported to the local hospital for a full evaluation, where doctors confirmed a fracture of his C5 vertebra. By 2:00 a.m., Mason was airlifted to Omaha for advanced care.
Upon arrival, the trauma team conducted further testing, which confirmed a spinal cord injury. On Friday at 3:00 p.m., Mason underwent a complex surgery to fuse his C3 through C7 vertebrae. While this procedure carried significant risk, we are grateful to share that it was successful.
Friday night marked Mason’s first complete night of rest since his surgery, and given the extent of the trauma his body has experienced, his progress is remarkable. Each day will provide new insights into his recovery, and he is fortunate to have an exceptional circle of family and friends ready to support him through the road ahead
Throughout this ordeal, Mason’s wife, Sadie, has remained steadfast at his side—his strength, comfort, and constant support. Mason and Sadie deeply appreciate the prayers, encouragement, and love so many have already shown.
The road to recovery will be long, but they firmly believe in God’s healing power and continue to trust in His ability to work miracles. If you share this faith, we kindly ask that you continue to lift Mason up in prayer.
For those who feel led to support Mason and Sadie during this challenging time, any contribution would mean more than words can express. Your generosity will help ease the financial burden they are facing so they can focus fully on Mason’s healing.
May God bless each of you abundantly for your prayers, support, and compassion.
