Hi,

My name is Magalie Ruiz-Jenkins, many of you know me as Maggie. First and foremost, I want to thank God, our creator, for His unfailing love. I know times are hard for many people, so I don't really know how to begin this page, but here I go.

In December, I fell and fractured my L1 in my spine. At the same time, I was waiting for the results of my biopsy. I worked in a kitchen and because of my fall I was unable to work until I was cleared medically. I was receiving monthly disability payments for having multiple sclerosis, but because I was working, they stopped these payments. On Dec. 29th, my biopsy results came back positive for cancer. They have caught it in time and it is in the beginning stages, glory be to our father. I will be having surgery and a treatment plan in place.

I have reapplied for disability, but it takes 300 days for them to reach a decision. My husband works two jobs, six days a week, but we are still severely behind in our bills due to the loss of my income. I am creating this page and asking for help in this season that God has put in front of us. I know this season will build endurance, fortitude, and give me time to find the true purpose God has for me and our family. Any amount is truly appreciated, whether it's $5 or anything. But I am also asking for something more powerful than a dollar; I am asking you to please pray for our family during this time. I know this too will pass and become a great testimony to one day help someone else going through a similar situation. I am grateful to continuously share God's great news of how amazing He is, and I pray for continued blessings for everyone who has taken the time to read this. God bless and thank you.
