I’m not even quite sure what to say but burdens carried with friends are lighter.
A few months ago, Brian was diagnosed with skin cancer (larger spots than anticipated and longer recovery). Shortly after he developed very large leg blood clots. While he’s had clots during and post the time he served in the navy, these new clots are in a terrible spot causing leg swelling, pain and making simple things like sitting or driving painful and uncomfortable. Long days working at the hospital are challenging. He was started on blood thinners and surgery is scheduled for 1/28 to hopefully remove the new clots.
We’ve weathered many storms over the last few years, a tree falling on our house, hailstorm damaging our car, sepsis, and a very sick child. All stressful and so expensive. But God has been so faithful! We would love your prayers during this time.
Many have asked how you can pray or support us:
Pray for the surgery to go well, guidance for the physician and being able to return to all the activities he loves to do with the girls.
Pray for me all as I juggle all of the paperwork, insurance, denials (it’s really a very frustrating and time-consuming system) and to stay healthy on the 3-4 hours of sleep I routinely get with a little one who has not been feeling well the last months.
Pray for Makenzie to have minimal to no allergic reactions in the coming weeks. After her very stressful situation last year, her immune system has been so run down she’s been reacting to things again. The coming weeks will be filled with appointments for Mommy
and Daddy and time for her with others (including some new foods). We have invested thousands out of pocket in special allergy plans, treatments and follow the organic, allergy free meal plan from her allergist.
With a back injury requiring frequent time off, skin cancer and now the clots, he will run out of leave time and no paid time off adding additional stress to the situation with already large out of pocket medical costs, special food plans and expenses.
Thank you for praying with us and supporting us in this time.
Love, Debbie and Brian
Please pray, support and share ❤️
