Dear friends,

With permission, I have started this fundraiser for a very special person, Vanessa Magnon. Vanessa and I have known each other since elementary school, have been colleagues over the years, and currently have the pleasure of her being on staff with me at the Louisiana Commission for the Deaf. Vanessa has been instrumental in the Deaf community, not only in Louisiana, but in states across the country. She has taught, inspired, uplifted, and led others in faith through various journeys. And now she needs us to do the same for her.

Vanessa is a breast cancer survivor. And yet after 5 years, she found her cancer has returned. As of now, she knows she has a tumor in her right eye, causing a quarter blindness in her field of sight. She also has lesions on her liver and on her spine. She will find out her treatment options on September 3, 2025.

At this time, would you consider her, her husband, daughter, and extended family and friends in prayer as she navigates this journey once again? In addition, please consider donating here, as every dollar will go towards supporting her medical bills, which have already begun to cause a financial strain.
