Our beautiful niece Isabelle is still in the NICU. Although she is making amazing progress, we don’t know when the doctors will allow her to be discharged. Yerko and Nicole continue to be the most incredible parents I’ve ever seen and their strength inspires me every day. A little update about our girl to our friends, family, and anyone who finds this page. Our baby girl was born this January. She is sweet, gentle and more beautiful than we ever imagined. We had our bags packed, her room painted pink, a car seat, toys and books. As first time parents you expect to take your baby home, we haven’t had that opportunity yet with our Isabelle. After a few frightening health concerns we were told she needed more resources in a better hospital setting and was transferred to MUSC. She’s has been omitted since Saturday 1/31. As she is progressing, we are still in this limbo of a waiting process. Life can be so unpredictable, we never thought our baby girls first room would be full of machines, wires, and doctors. We are grateful for the helpful team we have here at MUSC, every single doctor and nurse has given exponential care while never giving up on bringing Isabelle home. We don’t have a clear timeline or goal at the moment but if you wish to donate as I’m sure not all expenses will be covered by insurance we appreciate any amount. We also are accepting prayers for our sweet girl as well. Thank you for your time and we hope to share her bright little light with you all when she’s healthy and back home where she belongs.
