My name is Tres Long. I am trying this platform to help my family in an extreme crisis. My brother Greg lived with my father Lynn in a beautiful home which caught on fire on 1/23/2026. The fire spread through the whole home, leaving nothing left except the outer shell. Greg and their dog Rosie passed away in this fire, and my dad was air evacuated to Atrium Wake Forest Burn Center, where he was being treated for burns over 45% of his body. He was given a 10% chance of survival. He is all I have left, and I am doing everything I can for him. I am never one to ask for anything, but I know the road ahead is going to be one miracle after another to get my dad to a somewhat normal life. Everything he had has been taken in this fire. Everything! This isn’t about me, it’s about him. He is 91. He is hanging by a thread. My whole family has an incredible relationship with God and know it’s in His hands. I ask you for prayers and anything you can possibly give to help our family. I am planning a funeral for my only sibling and trying to rebuild a life for my dad and care for him the best way I know how.
