This family needs your help! Thank you to those who have donated so far!
Over the last 10 years this family has been part of the Hope house community. They came to live at Hope House Christmas of 2024. This allowed the family the precious opportunity to serve their community for the last past year and a half. They welcomed anybody needing food or looking for someone to listen and to care. Many of their new friends have become their family within the community. They have watched so many people grow and take on new lives.
Just before the fire occurred the family's 3yr old daughter learned about fire drills in daycare. On April 9, that 3 year old alerted her mom to a spider which turned out to be a fire when mom allowed her daughter to show her what frightened her. Mom alerted everyone. Dad was still healing from an ankle fusion and had to stay close to their 3 yr old. Mom ran upstairs roaring commands to collect her other 2 daughters. One of the daughters is autistic, asthmatic with bilateral club feet requiring daily braces. Mom tried to go and get the cats but sadly the family lost their twin 6 month old kittens. Their 15 year old cat emerged from the fire as firefighters were heading inside. They sprayed the cat down to save him as he was smoldering and singed, close to dying. They rushed him to the vet and he's recovering well.
The family has received love and support in this devastating loss from the community. They ran out with only what they were wearing. No jackets. No shoes.
The family is asking for the community to please share or donate so that they may continue spreading their love and care to the community. At night this family needs somewhere to call home and be able to help their community again when needed. The family is dedicated, after losing everything less than 24 hours earlier, they were giving back to the community the very next day.
One of my favorite bible verses is Psalm 121:1-2 "I lift up my eyes to the mountains. Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth". God provides His help in time of trouble.
Thank you so much for helping out, and if you can't help out monetarily, please just pray for this dear little family.
